It is a fully machined (no casting or stampings) hammer. The hammer notch is then individually surface ground to assure an exact angle of engagement. It will provide a 50% (approx) lighter trigger pull. It is a drop in item designed to be used in an unaltered factory trigger guard. Made of A2 tool steel hardened to Rc 58-60 ? Fits the Remington 597 22LR 22 WMR and 17 HMR.
